The Supreme Court of the Philippines announced today that there are 1,451 new lawyers in the country. These new lawyers hurdled the 2009 Bar exam which was given in September 2009. There were 5,903 who took the said examination. For the first time in history, the 2009 Bar exams had two examiners in each of the eight Bar examination subjects. This means that for every Bar subject it would be divided into two parts and it will be checked by two examiners.
The Philippine Bar Exam is the only licensure examination which is not supervised or given by the Professional Regulations Commissions (PRC) since this exam is exclusively supervised by the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
