Going to Japan
I am pretty busy carefully packing our things for our Japan trip tomorrow. It will be a new experience for me and my daughter as we travel to a place where we are both illiterate. LOL. Only few Japanese can speak English and it will surely be a hindrance for me to communicate with them. I just hope that my mastery in sign langauage, I mean, action words, will do good for me and help me in letting the Japanese understand what I mean. Let's wait and see. For the meantime, I have to finish packing our things. Bon voyage to us.

Loving the books
See the sign above? It says, "Reading books children while they are young helps develop their literacy and love for reading". Yeah, I absolutely agree! Look what happened to my daughter. I started reading to her bedtime stories at a very early age. Now that she can read, she just grab a book and read it. She certainly loves books.

You Belong With Me
You Belong With Me lyrics
Songwriters: Rose, Liz; Swift, Taylor Alison;
You're on the phone with your girlfriend, she's upset
She's going off about something that you said
'Cause she doesn't get your humor like I do
I'm in the room, it's a typical Tuesday night
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like
And she'll never know your story like I do
But she wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts
She's Cheer Captain and I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time
If you could see that I'm the one who understands you
Been here all along, so why can't you see?
You, you belong with me, you belong with me
Walking the streets with you and your worn-out jeans
I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be
Laughing on a park bench, thinking to myself
Hey, isn't this easy?
And you've got a smile that could light up this whole town
I haven't seen it in a while since she brought you down
You say you're fine, I know you better than that
Hey, what ya doing with a girl like that?
She wears high heels, I wear sneakers

She's Cheer Captain and I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time
If you could see that I'm the one who understands you
Been here all along, so why can't you see?
You belong with me
Standing by and waiting at your back door
All this time how could you not know?
Baby, you belong with me, you belong with me
Oh, I remember you driving to my house in the middle of the night
I'm the one who makes you laugh when you know you're 'bout to cry
And I know your favorite songs and you tell me 'bout your dreams
Think I know where you belong, think I know it's with me
Can't you see that I'm the one who understands you?
Been here all along, so why can't you see?
You belong with me
Standing by and waiting at your back door
All this time, how could you not know?
Baby, you belong with me, you belong with me
You belong with me
Have you ever thought just maybe
You belong with me?
You belong with me

Hello Kitty
My daughter is a typical Hello Kitty fanatic. Most of her personal things do have hello kitty image on it. From what she wears to the toys she play with are mostly hello kitty. One mirror in our bedroom has stickers of hello kitty. Her pens and notebooks are hello kitty too. I also learned to love hello kitty especially that I never had hello kittly when I was still a kid.

This is the pinata I personally made during the 5th birthday of my only daughter. I simply used pink japaenese papers to wrap the pinata made from a milk box. I guess I just spend around Php30 for this. The hello kitty sticker was worth Php10 ( and I used 2 stickers) and the japanese paper was worth 10. It's amazing how I saved a lot of money for this pinata. Had I bought one from a party store, I surely had spent around P200 for this (without candies inside). I only spent around Php60 for the candies.

Trying to compose a song
This is a re-post from Mylot: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2495994.aspx?p=1#2_22193361
"I couldn't believe how my five year old daughter thinks. I always tell her that she acts and thinks like an eight year old girl. This morning, she told me that she will compose a song and that surprised me! I let her write her composition in a piece of paper and I am still waiting for her to finish it. No matter what the outcome might be, I would still be very proud of her consisdering that she is only five years old."
