The New Gaisano Mall

This may not be a big mall but this certainly changed image of our place. I am posting this blog not for the purpose of promoting this new mall. The place or lot where this mall stands now used to be the Republic Cinema owned by the Chapmans (aunt of my father). My father and his siblings lived in a modest house behind the Republic Cinema for a couple of years. It is in that place where they grew up and had the fondest memories. The place molded them to be what they are now. My father and his siblings grew up watching movies (English movies to be precise) and that's how they got that english twang that they have now. I'm so sad that my father has no more opportunity to see the place again. That how things and life change.

The Year That Was

This was how I prepared our dinner table during the Noche Buena. It was just a little celebration for the four of us in the family. We had fun that night and I hope the nect Chritmases will be as bright as ever.

I really want to attend the nine-day novena mass for Christmas but I can't. My husband is not here (he's in Manila) and no one will take care of my daughter if I go to church. Its just me and my daughter at home now. I will just pray.

11 Days Before Christmas: Gift Giving

I am sending these Christmas gifts to the people who helped me process our documents when we sold our house three months ago. This is not a bribe. I am giving them gifts as a way of expressing my sincerest thanks to them for helping me out in the processing of our papers.

13 Days Before Christmas: I saw an inverted christmas tree

I don't know if this makes inverting of Christmas trees make it the "it" thing this year. I saw this inverted Christmas tree in one of the department stores here in our place. I just don't know if it was purposely inverted or it was just for the purpose of attracting customers.

14 Days Before Christmas: My Daughter's 3rd Birthday

Today is a very special day for my little angel. It's her third birthday. We are giving her a little party and fulfill some of her wishes. She wished to have a Cinderella-themed birthday and so, we bought her a Cinderella-themed cake, and a Cinderella Banner. She also wish for some blue things like a blue dress (just like Cinderella's gown), blue shoes, a tiara, earrings and necklace. I prepared food and invited a few friends and relatives. She had a wonderful birthday.

23 Days Before Christmas: Christmas Balls

I love Christmas! I also love to put Christmas decors in my Christmas tree. The past three years, I personally made the poinsetias for my Christmas. This year, I decided to have a different motiff. I chose something bright and colorful - fuschia pink and orange! My ribbons come in fuschia pink while the other trimmings come in orange. Here's the sample Christmas balls I made.
