Counting numbers in six languages

It is amazing that my five-year old daughter can count numbers in six languages. That includes English, Filipino, Chinese, Japanese, French and Spanish. She can count up to thousands in English; hundreds in Chinese, Japanese and Filipino; and tens in French and Spanish. She wants to learn three more languages for she is aiming to learn ten languages. Loving the books

See the sign above? It says, "Reading books children while they are young helps develop their literacy and love for reading". Yeah, I absolutely agree! Look what happened to my daughter. I started reading to her bedtime stories at a very early age. Now that she can read, she just grab a book and read it. She certainly loves books.

Hello Kitty

My daughter is a typical Hello Kitty fanatic. Most of her personal things do have hello kitty image on it. From what she wears to the toys she play with are mostly hello kitty. One mirror in our bedroom has stickers of hello kitty. Her pens and notebooks are hello kitty too. I also learned to love hello kitty especially that I never had hello kittly when I was still a kid.

Trying to compose a song

I always tell her that she acts and thinks like an eight year old girl. This morning, she told me that she will compose a song and that surprised me! I let her write her composition in a piece of paper and I am still waiting for her to finish it. No matter what the outcome might be, I would still be very proud of her consisdering that she is only five years old."

Toys and Books

This is my daughter, Kendra. She loves books and toys. Our weekend trip to the mall is absolutely not complete without sidetripping to the toys or books section. She would clutch whatever toy or book that catches her playful mind but it doesn't mean though that she always successfully convince me to buy whatever she wants. If I won't allow her to buy a book, she just read it while we are at the mall. She would look for a place where she could sit down. And this is her favorite reading nook.
