Money Making With MYLOT

Mylot is so far the best site for me, both for money making and information-gathering. I have been a member of Mylot for more than a year now and it was only recently when I earned my first payout. With many interesting topics discussed on Mylot, I had the pleasure of reading more of the posts than responding to it. I also became enthusiastic looking at the beautiful photos uploaded that I have neglected uploading photos myself to jack up my earnings. I was not so conscious of the earnings at first, and it’s all written in fact in some of my responses. It was only lately when I got challenged to finally reach the payout at the end of this month. This challenge came after I have responded to one of the discussions in “make extra money” about having received a payout. I congratulated the one who started the discussion for that and I also mentioned in the same post that my earnings haven’t reached the minimum payout yet. The author of that post commented saying that she wondered why I haven’t received a payout – the fact that I had around 379 posts. Adding more insult to me, she even mentioned that she has received her payout many times. It was through her comment that made me think twice. I was about to do some serious Mylotting activities when my internet connection encountered some problems during the first three weeks (1st to 3rd week) of last month. It was only recently when I really made money in Mylot even if I go online for an hour, or two hours the most and not everyday. Got to share some of the Mylotting lessons I learned: If you are thinking of earning serious money in Mylot, never respond to a topic which you least or don’t even know. It will waste your time. Be brief and concise when responding but never limit your answers to less than four sentences, otherwise you will not be paid. Upload more photos for this is the sure way to increase your earnings. Contrary to what many Mylotters say, there is limit in the number of photo uploads. (See below) Reaching the $10 payout: Start a worthy discussion which can be answered by anybody. Never forget to add an image on it. The discussion started and the image uploaded are both income generating. Comment, reply, thank or acknowledge all those who responded to your post. The more responses you get, the more income you get. But remember, always have at least four sentences for each reply. A one-liner will never earn you money. Post as many photos as you can until you reach the maximum number of photo upload (the maximum uploads is 25 photos). You can do it in just an hour. Uploading photo was my secret weapon in reaching my payout faster. Below is my sample computation of how to earn money. This may not be accurate but somehow this is factual as this was based on my own earnings. Sample Computation: Start 6 discussion with image = $.12
15 Responses to discussion started = .15 15 Comments on responses = .15 15 Responses to other discussions = .15
TOTAL EARNINGS/2 hours* $.57 25 Photo Uploads = .25 If you spend 6 hours in the internet, most probably, you will reach your payout in just 6 days. ($.57 x 3 = 1.71 + .25= 1.96). * It may vary on the internet connection speed, typing speed and number of responses to discussion started Guide to upload photos at the least possible time: Take pictures of anything. Start taking pictures of the things inside your house. In my case, the first objects which I photographed were my novels, food, makeup, perfumes, bags, and electronic gadget. Then, I took photos of what I saw outside my house like plants and flowers in my garden. I literally took pictures of all the objects in and out of house. After exhausting all the objects in my comfort zone, I broadened my picture-taking events to department store, playgrounds, parks and any place I go. Transfer camera or mobile phone images to computer and arrange pictures according to interest. Make a folder for each interest and arrange your photos according to interest. Label each photo. If your photo is properly labeled, then it will be easier to give the details and description of each photo. When all pictures are set in its respective folder, you can now log on to Mylot. Go to “interests”, and then open the “my interest” page. Choose an interest that corresponds to your photos ( examples: Gardening and Shopping). In the list of interests, point your cursor to Gardening, right click and open in a new window. When the Gardening interest is opened, point your cursor to “upload photo” , right click, and open five new tabs. Here you will be uploading 5 photos faster. In the other window, in our example shopping, open also five new tabs. Keep uploading photos until you reach the maximum photo uploads. gardening start a new discussion photo filename photo subject gardening photo details Please be as descriptive as possible. The more details you can provide for your photos, the better! photo tags separated by commas gardening you have reached your photo upload maximum. please try again later. By uploading a photo, you confirm that 1) the photo is not pornographic in nature, 2) you have the rights to digitally distribute the photo you are uploading, and 3) you give myLot the right to publicly display the photo. You can even start a new discussion or respond to discussions while waiting for your photos to be uploading but make sure to open a new window for discussion, otherwise your photos will be improperly uploaded to a different interest. Having found this technique, I am clear-cut confident that I will be having a minimum monthly payout of $10 each month. Not quite bad after all. If you are not yet a member of Mylot, I bet you should start signing up. If you have a blog, Mylot is a great source of prospective visitors to your blog and eventually a good way of increasing your site traffic. You will not only earn money in Mylot, you will also learn many things. It’s in Mylot that I learned the many money making sites and activities. Good luck to all of you.

Trash To Cash

I was supposed to post this article sometime on the last week of July and failed to do so for had some problems posting pictures or images. Anyway, I'm overwhelmed that I can post pictures again.
This advertisement caught my attention. I appreciated the mall's advocacy on helping to clean and save our environment. Kudos to SM Malls.
My desire to clean up my surroundings is not at all putting all my trash to the waste or garbage can. I make it a point to always observe the so-called "waste segregation" technique. Those that are totally to be thrown end up in the garbage can which are collected every Thursday and those that can be brought to the junkshops are place in a separate container. I once mentioned in this blog that I have made money out of the trash which I collected from my our house - its monetary value may be very minimal but it's out of question. Now I have again made money out of my garbage and I have earned bigger this time. Wow, I'm starting to make a piggy bank for all my trash earnings and count it at the end of the year.

08-08-08 A LUCKY DAY FOR ME

I got pretty busy on the most-awaited day of the year, August 8, 2008. Though I was busy, I never failed to watch the amazing grand opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A phone call from a friend woke me up early that day. She ordered from me 150 pieces of wedding souvenirs - a swan made of light weight wood, which she will give as wedding gift for her bestfriend who will be married on the 10th of October this year. By the way, I make wedding souvenirs which I sell at a very reasonable price. (I am experiencing some problems in uploading my photos on this site, I hope to upload the samples of my work in my future posts. T.Y.) At 9:00 o'clock in the morning my daughter and I were at the school for the acquaintance party. She, together with her classmates, presented an action song which entertained everyone present in the said party. It was her - and I guess, also with her classmates- first public performance. After the party, I got a text message from a client who informed me that she will be ordering another 100 pieces hanging lamps. She previously ordered 50 pieces which, according to her, was sold in a matter of week. She told me that she was to deposit on that day the 75% downpayment for the 100 pieces hanging lamps which she will be buying from me. I was very happy and lucky that day.

EARN UP TO $1,000 IN PAYPAL

Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly. The longer time I spend in the internet, the more that I get know many blogging sites – those that pay and don’t pay, PTC sites, and many other online money making ideas. One has to have a Paypal account in order to get paid once he registers in those money making sites. Little did I know that Paypal is in itself a good revenue site. Here’s how to earn as much as $1,000 in Paypal. 1. Create a Merchant Account with Paypal 2. If you already have an account with Paypal, log in to your account, and then click the Referrals link at the bottom of the page. 3. Send an email with a personalized referral link or add a referral logo to your website. 4. When the merchant you refer signs up for a Business or Premier PayPal account, you become qualified to get a Merchant Referral Bonus. The bonus amount is a percentage of the funds received by your referral using PayPal's Website Payments or Send Money features. 5. You will receive an initial monthly bonus, equivalent to 0.5% of the new merchant's net sales, as soon as that merchant reaches $200.00 USD in sales. Every 30 days for the next 12 months, you will receive a bonus of 0.5% of the new merchant's monthly net sales. The maximum total bonus you can receive is $1,000.00 USD. 6. You are eligible to receive Merchant Referral Bonus payouts for the first 12 months of the referred merchant's account, or until the payouts reach a total of $1,000.00 USD, whichever occurs first. This is another exciting money making strategy which doesn’t need so much effort before one starts earning.

Money from Trash

I am very happy today for I made P15 out of this week’s trash. The money may not be even enough to buy a kilo of rice, but it doesn’t matter to me. What is important is that I made money from selling something which was supposed to be collected by the garbage collector. These were empty milk cans, Coke 1.5L plastic bottles, Jollibee disposable cups, broken clothes hangers, tins cans and some other plastics. Start collecting your trash and earn money from it. Save our mother earth too!

Entrecard and SezWho

Getting the much needed traffic to one’s site and getting some comments on each post are some of the most common problems faced by a newbie bloggers and/or blogosphere alien, like me. It is fortunate for me, though, that I became an Entrecard member that many good and helpful ideas of increasing site visit are posted by the other members. With recent partnership of Entrecard and SezWho, I am more confident now that more and more visitors, Entrecard member or not, will be dropping by my site each day. Check it out at http://www.entrecard.com

CLEAN UP YOUR CLOSET & EARN

Sell baby clothes in Ebay. Baby clothes are usually used for a short period of time, sometimes they are even used once or twice. We also sometimes buy lots of baby stuffs that end up not being used. These stuffs should not be kept forever in your closet for it will be out-moded in time and it is better if you sell it before the rats and cockroaches will eat it. Have a garage sale. I admire what Tessa Prieto Valdez did to her gowns. She sold her gowns in her own garage and the proceeds of that garage sale were all donated to a foundation. You can also have your own garage sale even if you will not donate the proceeds to a charitable institution. Sell your used clothes to ukay-ukay vendors. Vendors of used clothing do sell locally branded clothes. You may also sell to them the clothes which you do not use anymore. You may buy new clothes out of your proceeds.

STORING UP STORIES OF MY STORES

Since I was younger, I have sold many different stuff to many people - from classmates, friends, officemates, neighbors, acquaintances to whoever I meet. Whatever I offered for sale were usually bought. I used to sell T-shirts, pants, shoes, bags, beauty products, canned goods, chocolates, bath and laundry soap, imported products and many more. Then in 1996, I asked my father to help me finance in putting up a small retail store for my mother who at that time had retired from the government service as public elementary school teacher. When my father agreed, a store was constructed in front of our house. I bought all the items to be sold and everytime I had an out-of-town travel, I made sure that I bring home something which the other stores in our community didn’t have. I deviated from the traditional retail stores by offering items which were not usually sold by a retail store. My mother used to get furious everytime I bring in items to our store which she thought were not saleable. Once, I brought with me a bundle of used clothing, a box of apples, picture frames, plastic wares, gift items, hair accessories, compact discs and firecrackers – I was so glad that the port security was not that strict compared now- when I came home from Cebu. When my mother saw those items, she told me that I will never be bought at all and she was afraid that I will just lose my capital. But to her surprise, I had a return of my investment in a matter of week and I had two hundred percent profit. From then on, my mother believed that I got his father’s business acumen. I became not too involved with the store operations in January 2002 when I got married and moved out of the house. My mother continued to manage the store until it closed down two years ago when my mother died. In May 2006, I opened up my own store by converting our other residential house located in a town next to the place where we live. It’s approximately 10 kilometers away from my home. Since the house is located inside a subdivision, my customers were confined to the residents of that subdivision. In December 2006, I put a plant and clay pot store with a P5000 capital. I operated it for only three months as the location of my store had very poor foot traffic and was not appropriate. When I reached the break-even in terms of return of capital, I immediately decide to close it before incurring in further loses. The experiences I got in managing small businesses are my best teachers in my dream of making bigger businesses.

Wordpress vs. Smorty

My first blogging site with Wordpress earned $30 from Smorty – a paid blogging site which pays $6 for every approved article. Smorty gave me five projects which were all approved and that’s how I earned $30 in just three weeks. Earning with Smorty was however short lived for that Wordpress account was deleted. Before it was deleted or suspended though, I posted articles about how I earned money through paid blogging with Mylot - another paid blogging site- and put several links from Mylot to Wordpress. With this links, my site visitors increased and when I checked where did they come from or where they were linked, I found out that most of them come from mylot. Then after a while, the administrator of Wordpress warned me to first remove the link in one of my articles to a paid blogging site, I know he was referring to my Smorty article. So I removed the link and bought even a domain name from using the money which I earned from Smorty. After that I asked the administrator to take away the warning for I have removed the link anyway. But instead, he demanded me to delete the article itself. But since it is prohibited under the Smorty rules to delete any approved articles after being paid, I did not delete my Smorty article. It was then that my Wordpress account was deleted. Had I known that my account would be deleted, I would have not wasted my money buying a domain name with Wordpress. I should have made a thorough research before I decided to buy that domain name. Anyway, it’s one of the treasured lessons I learned in this whole blogging stuffs. The experience may be depressing but that will never stop me from blogging.

Goodbye to My Personal Website With Wordpress

I am pretty disappointed today to see my personal website powered by Wordpress with its own domain name deleted/suspended. It's is really very sad for me because I have consumed so much time and effort working on it. I even made money out of it which I used in buying my own domain name. Now, it's gone! I admit I made a violation for linking one of my posts to a paid blogging site but it was due to my failure to read their agreement. However, I unlinked it but the administrator of Wordpress wanted me to delete the whole article which I did not do. The reason why I did not do it was because the article was paid. It seems that wordpress does not like their members to earn something unlike here.
